Remedial massage is a deep soft tissue treatment used to address a specific problem. A range of hands-on techniques will be used with the aim to facilitate a change to the soft tissue layers, from superficial to deep, with the primary goal to reduce pain.
The focus is on working the layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia to restore functional movement and encourage postural change. Soft tissue work will help to restore correct muscle tone, symmetry and balance with the goal of realigning the soft tissue influence on joint position.
Massage treatments differ according the presenting symptoms and clients needs. Treatments combine clinical assessment with general massage and advanced soft tissue techniques such as:
• Muscle Energy Technique
• Soft Tissue Release
• Fascial Release Technique
• Neuro-Muscular Technique
• Positional Release Technique
Sports massage is designed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage therapy is geared toward athletes of every kind, from world-class professionals to weekend joggers. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons, working to reduce restrictions of joint and soft tissue range of motion. You will notice that sports massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, helps prevent injuries and prepares the body and mind for optimal performance.
What Happens During a Sports Massage?
Sports massage therapists will use a variety of techniques to achieve the desired goal. The therapist might use general massage techniques to stimulate circulation of blood and lymph fluids, and deeper techniques to break down adhesions in the muscles, and stretching techniques to increase range of motion.
You don't have to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage.

Our baby massage courses offer a wonderful opportunity for you to learn how to communicate with your baby through nurturing touch and massage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We deliver the most comprehensive courses currently available in the UK.
Baby massage is a longstanding parenting tradition in many cultures. Using a high quality non-fragranced vegetable oil, soothing holds and rhythmic strokes are given on each area of baby’s body, following a sequence that has been developed over many years. The IAIM baby massage course draws from both the Indian and Swedish massage traditions, as well as incorporating principles from yoga and reflexology.
Hannah completed a Psychology degree in 2012 at Chichester University. After being an Assistant Psychologist for many years she went on to qualify as a Soft Tissue Therapist in 2019. After experiencing many injuries of her own she was inspired to support others by helping to reduce their pain. Hannah trained with the UK’s leading soft tissue therapy training school – The London School of Sports Massage.
After enjoying and experiencing the benefits of massage with her own children Hannah decided to expand her massage skills into Baby Massage. Hannah became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor in 2024 with the International Association of Infant Massage. As a CIMI Hannah has the wonderful opportunity to support parents and primary caregivers, by helping them to learn how to lovingly and respectfully communicate with their babies through massage.
Hannah has years of experience in treating soft tissue injuries and her client base is wide and varied from working in Chiropractic clinic treating patients with varying musculoskeletal injuries and neurological conditions. Hannah was also based in a local gym before building a bespoke therapy room in the Garden.
